MTV does Mandela Day

This year the MTV Africa Music Awards are celebrating ten years of superb African music – and we’re doing it on 18 July: Mandela Day.

To celebrate Madiba’s legacy we’re also doing our bit, and you can join us and Africa’s hottest talent by giving just 67 minutes of your time for Tata.

On Saturday (18 July) from 9:30am to 4pm, volunteers will meet in Inanda. Two beneficiary projects have been identified that are addressing various issues facing the youth of KZN, namely uMthombo Street Children SA and Nompumelelo Institute of Leadership.


Volunteers and celebrities will participate in tasks including: • Vocational talks • Career Guidance workshops • Gardening • Cooking • Cleaning • Sports Clinics
