The legal battle between Birdman and Lil Wayne is still ongoing, but the Cash Moneyboss just started another battle with Jay Z and TIDAL for streaming Wayne’s Free Weezy Album exclusively on the service.
According to TMZ, Birdman is going after Jay and Tidal for $50 million! TIDAL claims that Weezy gave them distribution rights to exclusively stream “Free Weezy” in return for part ownership in Tidal.
Nevetheless, Birdman is a shark, and referring to Weezy’s contract with Cash Money he has declared that Weezy doesn’t have the power to license his music to anyone else.
We eagerly await the verdict which could indeed be another failure for TIDAL.
