DELTA 2015: Opone’ll sustain Uduaghan’s achievements —Ndokwa League

LAGOS — A socio-cultural group, Ndokwa League, has called on the people of Delta State to support the governorship ambition of Chief Johnson Opone to avoid losing the gains recorded by the administration of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan.

It particularly noted that Opone would ensure that the administration’s Delta Beyond Oil mantra is taken to the next level.
This was disclosed in Lagos by Chief Nzete Ananyi at a media chat convened to mobilise support for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain’s gubernatorial aspiration.

His words: “We think that a prominent son of Ndokwa League should be called upon to address the challenges facing our state today and unleash its huge potentials for the benefits of Deltans today and those yet unborn. Our positions and activities are conducted with high sense of humility, sincerity and commitment to our fatherland.

“We have in all sincerity and commitment to our fatherland assessed the gubernatorial aspirants in Delta State and concluded that one man stand out above others.
“He is no other person than Chief Johnson Opone who belongs to a class of new breed politicians with progressive political inclination.
“He has an appeal that cut across the political and non political class, youths, women and artisans. He represents the change we deserve.

Over the years, people speculated on the fact that her booty was real. Apparently, all their questions have been answered during Nicki Minaj's Fashion Rocks performance.MStarz reports:

"Sources close to the “Anaconda” singer say, “She hurt her butt when she stretched out. They were like they heard a pop. Since Nicki’s butt is fake, everyone thought her butt may have burst.”

In the rapper’s defense, she has neither confirmed nor denies that she had a butt augmentation, however, it is common for performers to hurt themselves during their routines. The site reports that the singer did receive medical attention and seems to be doing perfectly fine.

Wednesday, Nicki posted an exclusive photo of herself with Beyonce to promote their “Flawless” remix captioning the photo “We Flawless.”

In 2011, Nicki opened up about her plastic surgery rumors to personality, DJ Funk Flex and explained, “I don’t mind the questions, I don’t mind the fascination … But I’ve said this before, it doesn’t define me. So, I try my best not to focus my energy on it,” she added. “Like, if you guys focus energy on and spend energy on it, I don’t mind it. You know, people are sitting in the barbershop talking about my butt, it’s conversational. That’s what people are gonna do. As long as they’re talking about Nicki Minaj, I’m good.”"

Man United Boss Louis Van Gaal Blasts Angel Di Maria Despite Man of the Match Display Against QPR

Old Trafford manager is not entirely pleased with Argentine’s showing.

Man United boss Louis van Gaal is clearly something of a perfectionist and is appears for all Angel di Maria’s attacking verve there are still areas of his game that the Dutchman wants addressed according to the Daily Star.

Van Gaal watched his thump QPR to collect their first win of the season and £59.7m signing di Maria was arguably put in a Man of the Match display, but apparently he wasn’t without his flaws.


“When you have a part in three goals and make the first goal yourself, then he can’t have played bad,” said van Gaal of Di Maria.

“But he had a lot of unnecessary losses (of the ball) so we can do better, even Angel Di Maria.

“You can say it is impossible to do better when you prepare three goals and make one yourself.

“But I am a trainer and a coach and reading the game and there are two or three things we need to improve on as a team.”

Di Maria has already shown just what he is capable of and his inter-play with Wayne Rooney, Ander Herrera and Juan Mata on Sunday was a joy to behold and Louis van Gaal will hope that the victory over QPR kick-starts their campaign in earnest.

Kanye West under fire for concert wheelchair gaffe

Rights groups in Australia are demanding an apology from Kanye West after the rapper targeted disabled fans for failing to stand up during his shows.

The hip-hop star sparked outrage Down Under by urging a fan in a wheelchair to get to his feet during a misunderstanding at his gig in Sydney on Friday night.

West was caught on camera stopping the show and demanding every single concert-goer get to their feet for his track Good Life, telling the crowd, "I can't do this show until everybody stand up. Unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and s---."

In the footage, the rapper is seen calling out one particular fan, insisting he would not continue the show until he stood up before realizing the gig-goer was disabled. After realizing the mistake, the rapper added, "Is he in a wheelchair?... Okay, you (are) fine."

The stunt was similar to one West pulled at a previous concert in Melbourne in which he urged disabled fans to prove they were unable to stand, telling the audience, "I can't do this song if there's anybody here sitting down - unless you're handicapped and you pull out your handicapped parking slip right now."

West has angered disability rights campaigners who are now demanding an apology from the star.

Craig Wallace, of People With Disability Australia, tells the Sydney Daily Telegraph, "To call out people for not standing up, when they are disabled and cannot stand up, in front of thousands of people, is humiliating. What if it was a young person who's coming to terms with their disability? It's arrogant to say every person in the audience needs to stand up just because you tell them to. Kanye West owes a duty of care and respect to his audience... Asking disabled people to show their handicap pass is patronising and inappropriate. He should apologize. Kanye West would also benefit from disability awareness training."

The Students of The Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti {FEDPOLAD} students versus POLICE. See Photos

The students @Aba hostel which is very close to the school compound had a protest this morning for not having light for months. 

They blocked the federal road which lead to ijan, Fedpolad and Afe Babalola University. 

During the protest Afe babalola (the founder of Afe Babalola University was not allowed to pass the road to his school. 

We heard he later ordered some mopol to chase the students which the mopols did with  gunshots and tear gas. 

Some students were injured, some were arrested, some ran to the school premises (FEDPOLAD) for safety. 

While the Ebira people living within this hostels could not go back to their houses. 

Aba students could not go back to their hostels so they won't be arrested. 

The protest was a peaceful one untill the mopols turned it to war.
