All nine passengers were killed in the accident in the Bahamas

Dr Myles Munroe, famed preacher, business coach and author, died yesterday in a plane crash in the Bahamas, aged 60.

All nine passengers of the small Lear 36 Executive Jet were killed in the accident, including Munroe’s wife, Ruth Ann Munroe.

The plane had departed the Bahamian capital of Nassau, but crashed while attempting to land at Grand Bahama International Airport.

“The Department of Civil Aviation has been advised unofficially that the aircraft was destroyed and that there were no survivors,” read a statement from the Ministry of Transport and Aviation.

The group was travelling to the Global Leadership Forum, which was organised by Munroe and was scheduled for this week the city of Freeport.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
