A 100 level student at DELSU has won a brand new car in a raffle draw.



Dean of Students Affairs, Delta State University (DELSU), Prof Temi Akporhonor; 100-Level Industrial Chemistry student and winner of the brand new Hyundai i10, Prince McCarthy; Deputy Vice-Chancellor, DELSU, Prof.



Chukwuemeka Aloamaka; and Analyst, Youth Segment, Etisalat Nigeria, Michael Nwoseh at the Etisalat Cliqfest event in DELSU, Abraka on Friday, August 22nd.

A first year student of the Delta State University, (DELSU), Abraka, Prince McCarthy, has won a brand new car in the the Etisalat Cliqfest at the weekend.

McCarthy, who studies Industrial Chemistry at the institution emerged winner of the Hyundai i10 car after a raffle draw held at the institution, Spy Ghanareports.





The Head, Youth Segment, Etisalat Nigeria, Elvis Daniel, said the Cliqfest event is coming to DELSU for the second time in about three years because of the students' passion about it.


“What we set out to achieve at each school we visit is to engage the students in activities that would develop them intellectually, physically and socially.


"Etisalat is equipping Nigerian youths with the requisite knowledge and skills to excel in every area of their lives after school.” He said.


The two-day Cliqfest event included a motivational seminar, novelty match, concert, comedy, dance competition and raffle draws.


Apart from the star prize won by McCarthy, the raffle draws winners took home mobile devices, laptops, Etisalat branded t-shirts, cash prizes, and other gift items.


Tops acts Terry G, Solid star and Nigerian Idol season 4 winner, Evelle, attended the event.
