Well, someone (a fairy godmother perhaps) probably should have caught this!

But regardless, Keke Palmer arrived at the NYC premiere of The Imitation Game on Monday night with her nips fully exposed!

The Cinderella starlet could have guessed that her see-through ICB shirt might fail her, mostly because she also donned a thin bralet with it — except hindsight is always 20/20, isn't it?

Luckily, Keke also paired her fierce blouse with a Jlani choker, green wrap skirt, modern blazer, and over the knee Sergio Rossi boots — so the only other skin she was flashing were the tops of her thighs.

Plus, there was no messing with her perfect pixie!!

In relation, The Cut: Paper’s Mickey Boardman on How the Kim Kardashian Shoot Happened

Did she get creatively involved, as well?
Totally. We ended up trying one thing that didn’t run and that we didn’t think worked. We hadn’t planned for her to take her clothes off. She wanted to and it kind of fit with the thing, and Jean-Paul was super excited about her attitude and Kim was super excited. Everyone was excited about working together and making magic. I mean, wait until you guys see the inside photos. I can’t even — I cannot even tell you. They’re just so amazing and so shocking and so bananas.

And Paper's official post.

LAGOS, Nigeria — As Lagos Fashion and Design Week closed last week, a mood of vigilance hung like smoke in the air of the plush Federal Palace Hotel, which hosted the event. With Nigeria officially cleared of the Ebola virus just three weeks ago, the psychological impact of the outbreak — which resulted in 20 registered cases and eight deaths in the country — was bound to linger, as the disease continued to ravage neighbouring West African nations Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
But the truth is, fear that the virus would take hold in this country of over 170 million people prompted a remarkably efficient and coordinated reaction from public health organisations. That said, there is no doubt that many retailers suffered the short-term effects of reduced footfall (some stores saw a 40 percent drop in traffic between July and September, according to a report by the World Bank). What’s more, the climate of caution has only been heightened by the on-going activities of Islamist militant group Boko Haram. But it seems unlikely that either the Ebola outbreak or the unstable security situation will have a chilling effect on the growth of the country’s fashion market.

At Lagos Fashion and Design Week, attendance figures — over 300 members of the fashion press turned up — were unaffected. “We’re going strong, we’re evolving, but we also need to realise that it’s been a difficult year for the country,” said Omoyemi Akerele, founder and artistic director of Style House Files, the organising body behind the annual four-day fashion showcase, who took the opportunity to refocus on domestic players. “With continued security concerns over Boko Haram activity and now Ebola, attention must be given to doing what’s right for Nigeria,” continued Akerele, who took the opportunity to shine a spotlight on local designers and, through Fashion Focus, an initiative launched in collaboration with the British Council, is supporting the development of fifteen domestic labels. “We need designers to be ready to scale commercially. We’re looking to work with those at the middle-stage of brand growth, rather than at the beginning.”

Maki Oh and Lisa Folawiyo, two of the more established labels showing at Lagos Fashion and Design Week, presented highly wearable, saleable collections. “But there are a number of challenges to up-and-coming local brands, of which the biggest is delivering consistent quality when producing inside Nigeria,” said Ayo Amusan of Persianas Group, the retail development firm behind The Palms, Nigeria’s leading shopping mall chain. Indeed, poor infrastructure, lack of expertise and the absence of trademark protection are more likely to inhibit the growth of Nigeria’s domestic labels than concerns relating to Ebola or Boko Haram.

In recent years, Nigeria — now Africa’s largest economy with a GDP of over $500 billion — has performed remarkably well, buoyed by the thriving oil and gas, telecoms and banking sectors. A rising middle class now has buying power of almost $30 billion per year. “It is for this reason that international brands are studying the market and are actively investing in it,” said Amusan, who has brought Hugo Boss, Lacoste and Puma to the country. “The key is for these brands to strategically engage in a joint venture with a local partner who understands the dynamics of the market and can protect their brand.”
To be sure, security woes may slow the movement of larger retailers into Nigeria’s smaller cities, particularly those in or close to areas of instability, but this is likely to be an issue only in the short- to medium-term. Meanwhile, the impact of Ebola on retail development seems to have been negligible. “Certainly, on an international level, the outbreak didn’t hamper on-going negotiations with foreign brands,” Amusan added. “They remain convinced of the opportunities within the market.”

Interestingly, after Nigeria’s first Ebola case was reported in July of this year and fear of the disease spread amongst the local population, the country saw a boom in online shopping, as consumers took steps to avoid crowded markets and other public areas. E-commerce leaders Jumia and Konga — which accept cash-on-delivery to combat local mistrust of online payment — both reported increased apparel sales.

A full 90 percent of Nigeria’s retail market remains informal, dominated by local traders and small market stalls, though things are changing swiftly. Developers like Persianas Group are building major shopping complexes, where domestic brands and retailers increasingly sit comfortably alongside international players. But the focus isn’t solely on large-scale malls. In Lagos, anticipation is building for the launch of Reni Folawiyo’s Alara, a David Adjaye-designed concept store with a highly curated mix of international luxury brands and hard-to-find pieces from West African designers that is set to open in March 2015 on the city’s exclusive Victoria Island.

It’s no secret that wealthy Nigerians shop voraciously when travelling abroad, notably in London (Nigerians are the fourth-largest generator of tax-free sales for overseas residents in the UK, ahead of the US and behind only China, Russia and the Middle East). But it remains to be seen whether this demonstrated demand will translate into domestic sales as the local retail scene continues to evolve. “We can already get things delivered from Europe or the United States by ASOS, Matches Fashion or Bergdorf Goodman, so what is necessary here is a conscious change,” argued Akerele. “We need to communicate to consumers that the reason you’re buying domestically is not just because you want the latest clothes and trends, but also because you want to support Nigerian businesses and designers. So let’s make it about Africa.”

It's going to be hard to hold any surprises back if Marvel keeps drip-feeding new scenes from the upcoming Avengers 2: Age of Ultron.

The latest trailer extends a few short scenes and offers more of James Spader's wonderful voice as the titular villain, and we're still left with more questions than answers, although fans of the comics will be able to read between many of these lines.

Here's something that's been bugging me a bit, and I think we should discuss it in the comments: How do the ballerinas fit in?

Avengers 2 hits theaters on May 1, 2015, which is sooner than you think. In case you missed it, here are other members of the Avengers attempting to lift Thor's hammer.

The Raspberry Pi Foundation just introduced its cheapest and smallest microcomputer yet, the Raspberry Pi Model A+.

In case the credit-card-sized Raspberry Pi Models A, B, and B+ were just too big and expensive for your needs at $35, the A+ crams similar functionality into a computer two-thirds of the size, with a $15 price drop to just $20.

In the way the Model B+ was a modern improvement on the B, the A+ inherits all the features the A had and adds the latest technology. It is 65mm (2.6 inches) in length, to the older model’s 86mm (3.4-inch) size. It replaces the A’s SD slot with a new micro SD slot, increases the number of GPIO pins to 40, and adds improved audio.

Like the A, the A+ features no networking functionality--for that feature, you’ll need to look to the B or B+. For all its updates and improvements, the A+ is still designed to be the Raspberry Pi Foundation’s low-power (and low-energy) offering.

Tinkerers in the UK can now buy the A+ for about £15 from retailer Farnell, while Americans can get their hands on it at MCM for $20.

Fans of ultrashort video, rejoice. You are no longer limited to Vine’s six-second shooting format or Instagram Video’s 15 seconds. Instead, the short-video app Ocho now offers—wait for it—eight-second videos (and an associated social network) for iOS users.

Why does the world need another social network that's two seconds longer than Vine? Ocho co-founder Jourdan Urbach said his company's stems from research suggesting that the average person's attention span is just eight seconds long. (That might explain more than he thinks it does.)

iPhone 6

Urbach insists Ocho offers other differentiating features. For instance, it will let users upload more than eight seconds of video, then use a timelapse tool to scrunch the extra footage into the allotted timeframe. After the video is uploaded, users can also record voiceovers and filters to complete the final product.

Ocho will let people autoplay the videos of other users they follow, thus eliminating the need to mash buttons every eight seconds. And it restricts its members to video-response comments. Text is exclusively used to hashtag or to tag other users to a video.

While the app is only released on iOS right now, Ocho tells Android users to stay tuned for future updates.

Monday

A 23-year-old first class graduate of Lead City University, Ibadan, Olakunle Akanni, has been jailed for defrauding an American woman, Diana Huizenga, of over $12,000 (N1.92 million) through an internet love scam.

The presiding judge at the Ikeja High Court in Lagos, Justice Lateef Lawal-Akapo sentenced Akanni to one year imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to the offence which contravened Section 419 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State, 2003.
Justice Lawal-Akapo convicted the accused on a two-count charge of conspiracy and obtaining money under false pretences preferred against him.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested Akanni after he falsely presented himself to 77-year-old Huizenga, as one Robert Lewis, a white American living in Nigeria, who was in love with her.
He used the “love scam” to defraud the woman and went as far as inviting her to Nigeria with $90,000 before he was apprehended.

The judge ordered the defendant, Akanni, to pay the sum of N2 million which is the equivalent of $12,820 to the victim, as restitution and then write an undertaking to be submitted to the EFCC that he would be of good behaviour upon his release from prison custody.

Last week, Taylor Swift redefined the entertainment industry by withdrawing from Spotify. This week she’s released a new video and literally changed the world for ever by smashing every paradigm

Taylor Swift … this is what a revolutionary looks like. Photograph: Lucas Jackson/Reuters

1 Taylor redefines the role of the horse in music

Twelve seconds into the video for Blank Space, a black-clad Taylor sits on her bed, clutching a white cat. Flanking the bed are two white horses. Previously horses have had been best known in music for their metaphorical role – the Wild Horses that couldn’t drag Mick Jagger away – or as slang term for heroin, for decades the drug of choice for people who admire the makers of Wild Horses too much. By placing the horses so centrally, so early in the video, Taylor sends out a stark and unignorable message about equine rights. And, almost certainly, makes reference to the death of Emily Davison, the suffragette trampled to death by the king’s horse at the 1913 Derby. This is groundbreaking stuff. Later on, there’s a deer in the house. To be honest, that’s probably just the result of leaving the doors open.

Yea or neigh … Changing the role of horses

2 Taylor rides a bicycle indoors

The average arena or stadium tour creates more CO2 in three gigs than the entire Chinese coal industry does in a decade. That’s scientific fact [subs: please check]. By riding a bicycle indoors, after 38 seconds, Taylor sends out a stark and unignorable message about the need to move away the internal combustion engine, and possibly start using pedal power to generate electricity for homes, even mansions (especially mansions) if humanity is to survive. But what’s even more clever is that this comes just seconds after she’s featured a vintage sports car, driven by the man who’s clearly feckless and no good. By showing that car, Taylor sends out a stark and unignorable message that car usage and fecklessness are linked. And that cycling is a feminist issue.
Paradigm-smashing rating: 7

3 Taylor has a picnic consisting entirely of champagne and sweets

Whereas every other video featuring anyone ever will only show its stars eating macrobiotic Nicaraguan tofu, creating a climate of body fascism, Taylor chooses to be pictured eating sweets and drinking alcohol. In so doing, she sends out a stark and unignorable message that we and we alone control our bodies, and that we and we alone are the only people our body shapes need to please. This is made even more stark and unignorable by the fact that the video stars two slim and attractive people. Slim and attractive on the outside, perhaps, but isn’t the real message that they might be ugly on the inside. Think about it, yeah?
Paradigm-smashing rating: 5

No pork pies … No Scotch eggs, either.

4 The bloke keeps using his phone

He does it while he’s having a picnic with Taylor. He does it when he’s in the garden with her. Taylor doesn’t look happy about it. That’s obviously because she’s sending a stark and unignorable message to Spotify that streaming is killing songwriters’ careers and she will have no part of it. The fact that it is a man fiddling with the phone is clearly a statement that the music industry is controlled by men, and only when a revolutionary coalition spanning sexes, genders, races and ages unites can we possibly develop a new music industry that nurtures creativity without exploiting listeners: that revolution is symbolised by Taylor dropping the phone into water. In many ways, that phone-drop is the most revolutionary moment in music since the invention of recorded sound. Its echoes will reverberate from here to the last syllable of recorded time.
Paradigm-smashing rating: 10

Revenge … Take that, Spotify! Photograph: Screengrab

5 Taylor cuts the nipples out of the bloke’s shirt

In a very real sense, Taylor is sending a stark and unignorable message that she will not stand for the objectification of women in pop music a minute longer. So, record company executive, you think women are no more than a pair of breasts? Well, see how you like it when you are reduced to being nothing more than a pair of breasts. Alternatively, she is sending a stark and unignorable message that the boyfriend in this video is so stupid he puts on the shirt even though it is clearly missing both nipples. Which itself is almost certainly a metaphor for cuts to public services in an age of austerity: for what is healthcare in both the US and the UK but a nippleless shirt?
Paradigm-smashing rating: 8

6 Taylor hits the sports car with a golf club

This works on so many levels and sends out so many stark and unignorable messages, that this single scene should be considered a work of art in its own right, as well as one of the most profound statements of our age. First, Taylor is both literally and metaphorically destroying the automotive industry. That refers back to her evident desire to develop cycle-powered energy referred to earlier. It also sends out a stark and unignorable message that Taylor is destroying American colonialism, for what is a car but a symbol of American power? She is literally taking a club to the system that created her, an act of revolution that will have profound and far-reaching consequences. But there’s also a sly and brilliant wit here, in the choice of a golf club – for clubs such as the Royal & Ancient and Augusta, the bastions of golf, have been dilatory in admitting women to their ranks. Golf, then, becomes a symbol for the entire entertainment-industrial complex in a message that is both stark and, dare I say it, unignorable.

reports came in that Nicki Minaj had split from boyfriend of over ten years, Safaree Samuels, a few weeks ago. Now it turns out that the reason for the breakup was sparked by an altercation that got physical between them.

According to TMZ, the couple got into a heated argument which ended up in Nicki grabbing a baseball bat and chasing Safaree out of the house before turning it onto his Mercedes Benz in the garage.

She hasn’t been arrested because the car was in her name and technically destroyed her own property.
