E! News can confirm that the Sony Pictures studios are preparing to expand their cinematic universe by recruiting one of its super-heroines to star in an upcoming film. As reported by Deadline , the studio hopes the film will come out in 2017.
Earlier this year, the director of The Amazing Spider-Man , Marc Webb , had advanced the possibility of bringing Spider-Woman to the big screen.
"It's not in my plans," he declared to E! News. "But it's an interesting idea."

This latest announcement comes as the franchise prepares to expand a little more.
At Comic-Con, fans learned that The Sinister Six come out in American theaters on November 11 2016 This spin-off brings together all the wicked of the saga Spider-Manjoining forces to destroy New York.
And although the release date of this film was advanced, another film was delayed. The Amazing Spider-Man 3 will not pass in theaters until 2018.
Fortunately, Spider-Woman will help us to wait!
